“Mom,I want to tell you something”,said the teenage son
“What ?”,said the mother arranging her utensils on the kitchen rack.
“I failed in maths”,said the boy in a remorseful tone.
“So,what’s the matter”,the mother asked the son.
Her tone was normal as usual.
This came as shock to the boy.
“Won’t you scold me”.
“Son, you are grown now.You are a teenager. I know teenagers have their own share of problems and this is quite common at their age”
This statement from his mother came as a shock to the boy.His mother was never this frank with him.
“Son, I am am not asking you to score marks like Mr. Sharma’s son but score marks which do not make you feel ashamed of yourself”,the boy nodded as he understood what his mother was trying to say.
“Nobody is stopping you from playing, partying and enjoying with friends but manage everything with a proper balance”.
“Next time work hard and score good marks and forget what happened. Now go and play”,she said .
All this came as a surprise to the boy.The son thought he would be scolded very badly, but the case was just the opposite instead his mother asked him to refresh his mind and forget what happened.
As the mother saw her going to play. She quietly went to the cupboard took out a book from behind the arranged clothes.
The book Read “BREAKING THE STEREOTYPES:WAYS TO MODERN PARENTING”
The MOTHER smiled and kept the book back where it belonged.
CHEERS TO ALL THOSE PARENTS WHO SUPPORT THEIR CHILDREN IN PURSUING THEIR DREAMS.DON’T FORCE SOMETHING ON YOUR CHILD OR THE RESULTS COULD BE VERY DEVASTATING. IN INDIA COMPARING TWO CHILDREN HAS BECOME A LEGACY.WHY CAN’T PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT DIFFERENT CHILD HAS DIFFERENT STRENGTHS AND ALL CANNOT BECOME ENGINEERS AND DOCTORS.
