Secret

*20 years later at school reunion*
“Did you marry”, asked his friends
“How can I marry someone else when I still love her”, he said.
“Then, you should have proposed to her during our school days”, his friends said looking at her at a distance.
She came at the reunion with her husband.
“I never had the courage to do so”, he said finally.

Deep down he buried a secret which only he, she, her best friend and her mother knew.

PARENTING

“Mom,I want to tell you something”,said the teenage son
“What ?”,said the mother arranging her utensils on the kitchen rack.
“I failed in maths”,said the boy in a remorseful tone.
“So,what’s the matter”,the mother asked the son.
Her tone was normal as usual.
This came as shock to the boy.
“Won’t you scold me”.
“Son, you are grown now.You are a teenager. I know teenagers have their own share of problems and this is quite common at their age”
This statement from his mother came as a shock to the boy.His mother was never this frank with him.
“Son, I am am not asking you to score marks like Mr. Sharma’s son but score marks which do not make you feel ashamed of yourself”,the boy nodded as he understood what his mother was trying to say.
“Nobody is stopping you from playing, partying and enjoying with friends but manage everything with a proper balance”.
“Next time work hard and score good marks and forget what happened. Now go and play”,she said .
All this came as a surprise to the boy.The son thought he would be scolded very badly, but the case was just the opposite instead his mother asked him to refresh his mind and forget what happened.
As the mother saw her going to play. She quietly went to the cupboard took out a book from behind the arranged clothes.
The book Read “BREAKING THE STEREOTYPES:WAYS TO MODERN PARENTING”
The MOTHER smiled and kept the book back where it belonged.

CHEERS TO ALL THOSE PARENTS WHO SUPPORT THEIR CHILDREN IN PURSUING THEIR DREAMS.DON’T FORCE SOMETHING ON YOUR CHILD OR THE RESULTS COULD BE VERY DEVASTATING. IN INDIA COMPARING TWO CHILDREN HAS BECOME A LEGACY.WHY CAN’T PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT DIFFERENT CHILD HAS DIFFERENT STRENGTHS AND ALL CANNOT BECOME ENGINEERS AND DOCTORS.

Every Year hundreds of Kolkatans return to their home town for this festival of Durga Puja.

No matter in which corner of the world they are they come back to their home town for this festival.

This festival unites families, lovers and everyone.

If you meet a kolkatan in another country and ask him what do you miss about Kolkata , Durga Puja would be on their list.

The sound of dhakis.

The creativity of artists in making pandals.

The alluring beauty of idols of Maa Durga.

The tasty bhog.

The anjali on the day of ashtami.

Even an outsider feels that he is a local,he was born there .

This is what makes me feel proud to be kolkatan.

Future

“C’mon let’s bunk our tuitions”,she said
“No way,if my mom gets to know then…”,he said
“Why are you so scared of your mother ? and it’s a thing of future if we get caught”
” I am not scared,it’s just..”
Sometimes we are not scared to do something, but we are scared of the consequences of our deeds, which may sometimes change our lives forever or leaves us scarred for life.
People sometimes say us to live the moment, but can we live the moment without worrying about the future ?
Only few people can, because alomost everyone tends to think about the future.
Parents think about their child’s future.
Teenagers think about getting into Colleges,IITs,getting Jobs.
Everyone thinks about the future.
But the fact is Future doesn’t matter but what matters is our deeds.
It’s that how we spend the present determines our future and we never know what the future holds.

Just some Random Thoughts #1

“Forget him, he loves someone else”
“But I told him to wait”
“He survived the wait, unfortunately his love didn’t ”

Sometimes we love someone with all our might that we lose our self respect in the process.
We keep on loving, keep on hoping that someday it would click, it would work out but we fail.
If it fails then God sends someone who is worth your time your wait and that someone gives you all that love you desired till now.
But sometimes we fail to return the love of that someone because our hearts tends to return to the person who does not values it .
So, We should always keep the person who loves you with all their might, we should never let them go, may be we may not get another one like that.

”Hold on to them even if the whole world is against you because it is them who will give you the strength to fight the world ”

We should never put them in a situation where they question their own love.
